Rearrange Internet Explorer's toolbars
9/2/99 - Update: This page is
specific to Internet Explorer 4. I'll have a section up for
ie5 shortly. In the meantime, you can modify ie5's toolbars
in a similar fashion, by selecting View | Toolbars | Customize.
You can make make things a little easier and give yourself
a _little_ more of that precious browser real-estate.
This is my ie4 toolbar...

There are 3 main modifications here:
- I moved the button-bar so it's to the right of the menubar.
In all recent microsoft products, the menu bars
are all movable, simply click-and-drag them to your desired
location:

- I set IE4 to display the small icons instead of the
default large-icons:
Simply go to View | Internet Options | Advanced (then
scroll down to the bottom) and check Small Icons.

- You can also get rid of the text-labels beneath each
icon by unchecking the "text-labels" option
under View | Toolbars:

You can also do things like uncheck the "status bar"
at the bottom of the screen to give yourself a little more
room.
